Emily Harding

Operations

Emily ensures the efficient functioning of the +MORE Group, providing vital support across planning, operations, project management, and risk & compliance.

What excites Emily most about her role is the opportunity to make a difference, helping the +MORE Group operate at its best.

Outside work, Emily enjoys games nights with friends and, most importantly, spending time with her beautiful dog Kimbo in the great outdoors.

Anu Sehgal

Assistant Accountant

Anu has several years of experience in the accounting industry. Before that, she worked in banking, investments, and investment portfolio management, bringing a wealth of knowledge to clients.

What Anu enjoys most about working at +MORE is the team, work environment, and autonomy to get the job done. Anu also loves learning about new and interesting topics she may not have encountered before.

Outside of work, Anu is an avid reader and absolutely loves swimming despite the chlorine damage to hair and skin! Weekends are often spent taking long walks on the beach or hiking up Mt Kau Kau with her gorgeous dog.

Aslam Ismail

Senior Accountant

Aslam enjoys working with clients across multiple industries to help them achieve their business goals.

With over 12 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant and Registered Auditor, Aslam brings invaluable knowledge to the team. He has an Honours degree in Applied Accounting Sciences and is a Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand member. He's worked across various industries, from manufacturing and retail to IT and large commercial rentals and SMEs like trades, residential rentals, and investment trusts.

Outside work, Aslam spends his weekends teaching kids at his local mosque. When he's not doing that, he loves hanging out with his family. He also enjoys hanging out with friends and going out, and is an avid snooker player!

Josh Mann

Senior Manager

Josh is passionate about helping business owners build smarter, better businesses through tax planning, compliance, and strategic financial advice. With a strong focus on critical thinking, Josh adds value by providing the expertise and tools they need to achieve growth and success.

Josh is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Tax. His experience spans various industries, including professional sports, commercial property, and public sector operations. Josh's key strengths lie in tax, technology, and problem-solving.

Outside work, Josh enjoys spending weekends with his young family, playing golf, and catching up with friends. He is also keenly interested in exploring financial markets and staying informed about domestic and international economic trends.

Matthew Trowill

FINANCE

Matt oversees the internal finance function across the +MORE Group. He ensures the executive team is equipped with accurate financial data, monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and all things numbers.

Matt thrives on understanding the numbers and how they drive smart business decisions.

Beyond finance, Matt is passionate about travelling the world and enjoys playing hockey on weekends.

Kirsten Harris

Marketing

Kirsten leads the marketing function across the +MORE Group, shaping the brand and driving growth. She works closely with teams across the business to deliver marketing strategies that support +MORE’s vision, while overseeing brand, content, communications, and campaigns.

Kirsten is passionate about turning insight into action and building strong, consistent brands. She enjoys collaborating with teams to create meaningful marketing that connects with clients and supports business growth.

Outside of work, Kirsten keeps busy with family life, spending weekends watching her kids’ sports, fitting in runs when she can, and making the most of any opportunity to do something new.

Anna Crow

People & Culture

Anna oversees the human resources function across the +MORE Group. She is responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent and ensuring that our teams embody our company values and purpose daily.

Anna enjoys getting to know every team member and working with them and their manager to help them achieve their career goals. Seeing employees succeed is what motivates her!

Outside work, Anna loves spending time with her family. She has two teenage boys who love to get out and about – from multi-day bike rides in different parts of the country to catching the latest movie to board games on rainy days.

David is motivated by the +MORE purpose of smarter, better business. David is a strategic transformation and commercial Executive with over 25 years of experience in the finance and technology sectors. His role is to leverage his multinational expertise to ensure the +MORE network delivers daily for our clients and team. To him, nothing is better than seeing clients succeed in their market due to insight and collaboration with our people.

Starting life in the London dealing rooms as a derivatives trader, David’s career has seen him work with major banks worldwide.

Following a six-month program at Stanford Business School, David diversified into strategic leadership roles, building new or amplifying existing divisions of the bank. One of the most challenging but exhilarating periods was launching a start-up data platform as CEO, gaining first-hand insight into business ownership.

Most recently, David was privileged to lead the Xero global sales team, working with teams in many countries focusing on a high-growth commercial mindset.

David has a teenage family that keeps him busy outdoors, with his son cycling in the mountains or roads of New Zealand or supporting his daughter in the dance studio.

John Schol

Director

John has over 25 years of executive, non-executive and chair experience across large, complex organisations in a variety of sectors, including professional services, property, manufacturing, infrastructure, local government, SaaS and not-for-profit.

He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, holds a Certificate of Public Practice with Chartered Accountants Australia, New Zealand, and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.  

John specialises in assisting businesses in clearly articulating their vision, strategy, and corresponding goals. His commercial capability to monitor performance against strategic, business, and financial plans helps ensure executive leadership teams manage their businesses appropriately.  

He consults with businesses on strategic, cultural, and organisational change that creates smarter, better businesses. He often works with leaders who are surrounded by uncertainty, disruption, pending technology change, investment opportunities, restructuring, and succession issues.   

John also works closely with numerous local community groups and has given time to facilitate strategic plans with The Graeme Dingle Foundation (Southern), Rugby Southland, Football South, Southland Sharks, Youth Line South, Southland Engineering Cluster, The Pantry and The Grace Street Project.

Dan Henderson

CEO & Managing Director

Dan Henderson is an experienced advisory and accountancy leader with more than 20 years’ experience supporting business owners to drive growth, build resilience, and create long‑term value.

As CEO and Managing Director of the +MORE Group, Dan leads with a deep commercial and technical understanding of the New Zealand SME sector. His leadership is underpinned by a strong commitment to +MORE’s vision of fuelling ambitious business owners through smarter, better business.

Dan is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds a Certificate of Public Practice. He is a long‑standing member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, reflecting his strong technical foundation and commitment to professional excellence.

His expertise spans business strategy, leadership, governance, mergers and acquisitions, sales and valuation work, and international company compliance and regulatory analysis. Throughout his career, Dan has played a pivotal role in guiding organisations through complex financial and commercial landscapes. His experience covers businesses of all sizes, from start‑ups through to multi‑national corporations, giving him a well‑rounded perspective across a wide range of industries.

Dan completed his studies in Commerce and Sciences at the University of Otago, before spending ten years with one of the Big Four accounting firms. In 2013, he transitioned into business ownership and went on to establish what is now known as the +MORE Group.

In addition to his executive role, Dan is actively involved in governance and leadership across the profession and wider community. He is the Chair of MGI Australasia, providing strategic leadership within the global MGI Worldwide network, and serves as a Board Member of Variety – the Children’s Charity, supporting improved outcomes for vulnerable Kiwi children.

Ali McDonnell

CLIENT SERVICES MANAGER

Ali plays a key role in the growth and development of our Wellington office, working closely with both clients and the team to help them achieve success. With expertise in workflow management, Xero, finance functions and process optimisation, she ensures things run smoothly and efficiently. 

Outside of work, Ali enjoys spending time with friends and family, heading to music festivals and gigs, travelling, and exploring the outdoors with her gorgeous rescue dog, Lilly.

Stacey Taylor

SENIOR MANAGER

Stacey began her accounting career at just 17, leaving high school to join a Hamilton-based firm while starting her degree. A move to Wellington to join the team in 2011 saw her complete her studies, and by 2017 she had become a Chartered Accountant.

With deep experience in compliance, tax planning and advisory, and process improvement, Stacey supports both clients and the wider team. Stacey's known for her attention to detail, ability to streamline workflows, and strong relationships built over years of client service.

Stacey is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and continues to support businesses with practical, forward-thinking tax expertise.

Outside of work, life is happily full with two young daughters, and when time allows, Stacey enjoys tackling the daily Minute Cryptic puzzle.

Jeremy Anderson

Principal

Jeremy takes pride in guiding business owners through planning, forecasting, and coaching with tools and strong business connections to help them grow their capability and performance.

A member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Jeremy brings valuable international experience from five years working in finance, operations, and equities in London.

Jeremy holds extensive industry experience in the trades, retail, professional services, media and film sector, construction, wholesale, hospitality, and project management.

Jeremy’s love of sports and horse racing keeps him busy on the weekends. You’ll likely find Jeremy at the stables with his horse Barri if he’s not playing cricket or rugby.

Jason Keen

Director

Jason leads +MORE Wellington. He has significant experience supporting ambitious business owners to scale their ideas into reality. His industry knowledge spans retail, hospitality, technology, real estate services, engineering and manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, tourism, construction, and the trades.

Jason’s expertise covers various services, including business coaching, forecasting, annual planning, sale preparation, valuation, restructuring, and business and shareholder tax advice.

Jason is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and works closely with business owners to help them achieve their personal and commercial goals.

Jason’s a keen golfer and sports fan and can be regularly found doing business wherever it needs to be done, golf courses included.

Tom Naylor

Director

Tom has built a wealth of knowledge around the best in’s and out’s of property dealings and has a keen eye for promising start-up businesses.

Like building a great sandwich, Tom also knows how best to structure ventures to extract maximum returns while minimising risk exposure.

Away from the desk, hockey, tennis, squash and, as mentioned above, anything that can be consumed, dominate this man’s life.

Matt Bonner

PRINCIPAL

Matt is a Principal at +MORE Wellington with extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and businesses on complex tax matters. He works closely with clients to navigate domestic and international tax issues, helping them make informed decisions with confidence.

Matt has particular expertise in land transactions, GST, tax-effective structuring, and business and investment planning. He combines technical tax knowledge with practical commercial advice to deliver solutions that are both effective and easy to implement.

Matt regularly presents tax training to businesses, professional organisations, and accounting firms, and is known for his ability to make complex tax concepts easy to understand.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys running, mountain biking, and fishing on the Kāpiti Coast. He is also committed to continuing his te reo Māori journey, having completed Te Ara Reo Māori through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

April Dale

Senior Accountant

April is a high achieving Chartered Accountant and we are truly stoked to have her as our Senior Accountant. She brings with her a wealth of experience and no shortage of accomplishments. April loves connecting with clients and thrives on solving complex problems.

April is also an active community member - Treasurer on the Waitarere Rise Resident's Society and Member of the CA ANZ Manawatu Local Committee! We regard these closely aligned qualities as highly complementary and integral to our own values here at +MORE.

April does of course find time for her own passions and pursuits too, so don’t be surprised if you see her on a ski slope, travelling and exploring or experimenting and enjoying some tasty kai.

Heather McKinnel

Accountant

Heather joined the +MORE team, returning to the workforce after time spent at home raising a family and completing a Bachelor of Accountancy with Massey University via distance learning.

With a passion for travel, Heather spent 8 years in Australia following the ‘big OE’ to London and Ireland. She has many years work experience in finance roles throughout New Zealand and Australia.

Outside the office, Heather loves spending time at the beach, camping, hiking and planning the next family adventure.

Kellie Mears

Client Services Manager

Since 2020, Kellie has been the miracle worker at +MORE, expertly juggling administration and client payroll processing. As the friendly face and first point of contact, she delights in connecting with our clients.

Kellie is a certified Xero Payroll Advisor, has a business certificate in Accounting Support Services and is currently studying toward a Diploma in Business Studies with an Accounting strand.

Outside the office, Kellie loves spending quality time with family and friends, soaking up the natural beauty of the Kapiti Coast. Whether she's hitting the gym, exploring local walkways, or chasing sunsets along our stunning coastline, she's always on the move.

Michelle Dorfling

ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

Michelle has a passion for numbers and a knack for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. She takes real pride in delivering accurate, efficient bookkeeping and accounting support so clients can stay focused on what they do best - running their business.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Science and brings a wealth of hands-on experience from working in commercial environments.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys quality time with her family, getting creative with crafts, and is a proud cat enthusiast.
