Emily ensures the efficient functioning of the +MORE Group, providing vital support across planning, operations, project management, and risk & compliance.

Outside work, Emily enjoys games nights with friends and, most importantly, spending time with her beautiful dog Kimbo in the great outdoors.
Matt oversees the internal finance function across the +MORE Group. He ensures the executive team is equipped with accurate financial data, monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and all things numbers.
Matt thrives on understanding the numbers and how they drive smart business decisions.
Beyond finance, Matt is passionate about travelling the world and enjoys playing hockey on weekends.
Kirsten leads the marketing function across the +MORE Group, shaping the brand and driving growth. She works closely with teams across the business to deliver marketing strategies that support +MORE’s vision, while overseeing brand, content, communications, and campaigns.
Kirsten is passionate about turning insight into action and building strong, consistent brands. She enjoys collaborating with teams to create meaningful marketing that connects with clients and supports business growth.
Outside of work, Kirsten keeps busy with family life, spending weekends watching her kids’ sports, fitting in runs when she can, and making the most of any opportunity to do something new.
Anna oversees the human resources function across the +MORE Group. She is responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent and ensuring that our teams embody our company values and purpose daily.
Anna enjoys getting to know every team member and working with them and their manager to help them achieve their career goals. Seeing employees succeed is what motivates her!
Outside work, Anna loves spending time with her family. She has two teenage boys who love to get out and about – from multi-day bike rides in different parts of the country to catching the latest movie to board games on rainy days.
David is motivated by the +MORE purpose of smarter, better business. David is a strategic transformation and commercial Executive with over 25 years of experience in the finance and technology sectors. His role is to leverage his multinational expertise to ensure the +MORE network delivers daily for our clients and team. To him, nothing is better than seeing clients succeed in their market due to insight and collaboration with our people.
Starting life in the London dealing rooms as a derivatives trader, David’s career has seen him work with major banks worldwide.
Following a six-month program at Stanford Business School, David diversified into strategic leadership roles, building new or amplifying existing divisions of the bank. One of the most challenging but exhilarating periods was launching a start-up data platform as CEO, gaining first-hand insight into business ownership.
Most recently, David was privileged to lead the Xero global sales team, working with teams in many countries focusing on a high-growth commercial mindset.
David has a teenage family that keeps him busy outdoors, with his son cycling in the mountains or roads of New Zealand or supporting his daughter in the dance studio.
John has over 25 years of executive, non-executive and chair experience across large, complex organisations in a variety of sectors, including professional services, property, manufacturing, infrastructure, local government, SaaS and not-for-profit.
He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, holds a Certificate of Public Practice with Chartered Accountants Australia, New Zealand, and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
John specialises in assisting businesses in clearly articulating their vision, strategy, and corresponding goals. His commercial capability to monitor performance against strategic, business, and financial plans helps ensure executive leadership teams manage their businesses appropriately.
He consults with businesses on strategic, cultural, and organisational change that creates smarter, better businesses. He often works with leaders who are surrounded by uncertainty, disruption, pending technology change, investment opportunities, restructuring, and succession issues.
John also works closely with numerous local community groups and has given time to facilitate strategic plans with The Graeme Dingle Foundation (Southern), Rugby Southland, Football South, Southland Sharks, Youth Line South, Southland Engineering Cluster, The Pantry and The Grace Street Project.
Dan Henderson is an experienced advisory and accountancy leader with more than 20 years’ experience supporting business owners to drive growth, build resilience, and create long‑term value.
As CEO and Managing Director of the +MORE Group, Dan leads with a deep commercial and technical understanding of the New Zealand SME sector. His leadership is underpinned by a strong commitment to +MORE’s vision of fuelling ambitious business owners through smarter, better business.
Dan is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds a Certificate of Public Practice. He is a long‑standing member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, reflecting his strong technical foundation and commitment to professional excellence.
His expertise spans business strategy, leadership, governance, mergers and acquisitions, sales and valuation work, and international company compliance and regulatory analysis. Throughout his career, Dan has played a pivotal role in guiding organisations through complex financial and commercial landscapes. His experience covers businesses of all sizes, from start‑ups through to multi‑national corporations, giving him a well‑rounded perspective across a wide range of industries.
Dan completed his studies in Commerce and Sciences at the University of Otago, before spending ten years with one of the Big Four accounting firms. In 2013, he transitioned into business ownership and went on to establish what is now known as the +MORE Group.
In addition to his executive role, Dan is actively involved in governance and leadership across the profession and wider community. He is the Chair of MGI Australasia, providing strategic leadership within the global MGI Worldwide network, and serves as a Board Member of Variety – the Children’s Charity, supporting improved outcomes for vulnerable Kiwi children.
Lin’s key focus is workflow management. This involves liaising with the team and clients daily, and she plays a crucial role in delivering client outcomes. She also files client tax returns and helps with their payroll. Lin lives with her husband in Carterton and has been in the Wairarapa for over 30 years.
Sara grew up in South Wairarapa and has lived in Pirinoa with her husband on their Sheep, Beef & Cropping farm for 18 years.
After ‘falling into’ the accounting line of work many years ago, Sara decided to make a career out of it. Wanting to build on her experience, she completed a Bachelor of Business, majoring in accounting.
Sara has experience working in both commercial and rural settings, which allows her to assist clients from different industries with tasks like GST, tax returns, management reporting, and financial statements.
Sara’s favourite part of her job is making the financial side of things simpler for small businesses. She draws from her practical experience to help them understand the numbers better. This way, they can focus on what they do best – running their business!
Outside of work, you will find Sara on the road ferrying her two daughters to their next activity, tramping, at the gym, or enjoying a local vino with friends.
Nicole is a chartered accountant and agricultural accounting expert. Her agribusiness expertise is invaluable to +MORE’s Wairarapa agri clients.
What she enjoys most about her role is the farming clients she works with and that every day is always different. Nicole also loves working with the team.
Outside work, Nicole enjoys walking, tramping, biking, and being social, and her kids keep her very busy with sports.
David Shaw, well-known as DJ, is a sheep and beef farming expert. DJ grew up on a sheep and beef farm east of Martinborough. He moved back to the Wairarapa 20 years ago and still actively works on the family farm.
His select clients appreciate the balance and relevant advice he brings when sitting around the kitchen table. DJ’s style is to get in and understand what’s behind the numbers, what’s driving the decisions, and the results, and then work backward to resolve the common mistake areas and find a path to long-term success.
DJ has an extensive career in business advisory and accounting, where he’s committed to helping family-owned businesses and farms with structuring, succession planning, and more.
DJ has spent much of his career around the farming environments of the Wairarapa but has also spent time in the Waikato when working for Deloitte.
A member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, certified Xero Advisor, and certified Figured Advisor, DJ is well-placed to deliver quality business and tax advice to rural and SME clients.
Lou is a dairy farming expert and has been living in the Wairarapa for over 10 years. She thrives on her dairy farm with her young family, managing the business alongside her husband.
Lou is an experienced business advisor and chartered accountant with a background in multi-national accounting firms and finance roles in the private sector.
Lou’s commercial background gives her a practical edge in interpreting technical data and advice frameworks, meaning her clients receive coaching and mentoring that is practical and relevant to what they do.
Lou works with various clients across a range of industries, including dairy farming, horticulture, construction, services, and retail and hospitality.
Lou listens and cares about the outcomes her advice delivers. She supports business owners to achieve the goals that they set for themselves through a partnership lens.
She is passionate about ‘local’ and greatly supports local school fundraising, hockey, and other community initiatives.
Ella’s career path took shape early when she moved into bookkeeping after leaving school and quickly discovered it was the right fit. Since then, she has completed a Diploma in Business (Accounting) (Level 5) and is now beginning her CA programme, always looking for ways to upskill and deepen her knowledge.
Ella enjoys building strong relationships with her clients and has a genuine passion for rural accounting, something that comes naturally after growing up on dairy farms and sheep and beef operations. She recently returned to the Wairarapa after spending time on the East Coast, where she lived on a large-scale sheep and beef farm while working and studying.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find Ella out hunting, horse riding, playing hockey, or getting stuck into life on the farm. She’s not afraid of hard work or getting her hands dirty.
Originally from Wales, Jenny moved to the Wairarapa in 2020 and joined +MORE in 2022 in an administrative role. Since then, she has grown into her current role as an Accountant, where she deals with financial statements, tax returns, GST and management reporting and is working towards her CA. What Jenny likes about her role is the variety and being able to solve practical, real-world accounting challenges, so that the client doesn’t have to.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys travel, exploring the outdoors and challenging herself at the gym.
Gerri always knew she’d end up working with numbers. As a kid, she wanted to be either a Mechanic or an Accountant but quickly realised she preferred numbers over getting her hands dirty any day! After completing her Diploma in Accounting, she took on contract bookkeeping and accounts administration work through +MORE while also working a full-time job, regularly clocking up 70–80 hour weeks. It clearly paid off, as she now works full time as an Assistant Accountant.
Gerri enjoys keeping things organised and helping clients feel confident about their finances. She also secretly loves a good GST, even if spreadsheets aren’t her favourite thing in the world. She has an uncanny knack for remembering phone numbers, licence plates, and anything else you didn’t even realise needed remembering.
Outside of work, Gerri is a mum to a 21-year-old, recently engaged, and currently renovating three major rooms in her house — so she’s big on planning, budgeting, and running on coffee.
Jasmine brings a warm, welcoming energy to the +MORE team. She loves meeting new people, building strong relationships, and supporting clients through their growth journey. Her passion for learning and helping others shines through in everything she does.
With a background in legal exec studies, Jasmine brings strong organisational skills and a thoughtful, client-focused approach to her role, adding valuable depth to our front-of-house and support team.
Outside of work, Jasmine is a busy mum of three boys and enjoys an active lifestyle with her family. You’ll often find them outdoors, at the gym, at the beach, or chasing after the toddler on regular Go Zone adventures.
