Outside work, Emily enjoys games nights with friends and, most importantly, spending time with her beautiful dog Kimbo in the great outdoors.

Matt oversees the internal finance function across the +MORE Group. He ensures the executive team is equipped with accurate financial data, monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and all things numbers.
Matt thrives on understanding the numbers and how they drive smart business decisions.
Beyond finance, Matt is passionate about travelling the world and enjoys playing hockey on weekends.

Kirsten leads the marketing function across the +MORE Group, shaping the brand and driving growth. She works closely with teams across the business to deliver marketing strategies that support +MORE’s vision, while overseeing brand, content, communications, and campaigns.
Kirsten is passionate about turning insight into action and building strong, consistent brands. She enjoys collaborating with teams to create meaningful marketing that connects with clients and supports business growth.
Outside of work, Kirsten keeps busy with family life, spending weekends watching her kids’ sports, fitting in runs when she can, and making the most of any opportunity to do something new.

Anna oversees the human resources function across the +MORE Group. She is responsible for recruiting, developing, and retaining talent and ensuring that our teams embody our company values and purpose daily.
Anna enjoys getting to know every team member and working with them and their manager to help them achieve their career goals. Seeing employees succeed is what motivates her!
Outside work, Anna loves spending time with her family. She has two teenage boys who love to get out and about – from multi-day bike rides in different parts of the country to catching the latest movie to board games on rainy days.

David is motivated by the +MORE purpose of smarter, better business. David is a strategic transformation and commercial Executive with over 25 years of experience in the finance and technology sectors. His role is to leverage his multinational expertise to ensure the +MORE network delivers daily for our clients and team. To him, nothing is better than seeing clients succeed in their market due to insight and collaboration with our people.
Starting life in the London dealing rooms as a derivatives trader, David’s career has seen him work with major banks worldwide.
Following a six-month program at Stanford Business School, David diversified into strategic leadership roles, building new or amplifying existing divisions of the bank. One of the most challenging but exhilarating periods was launching a start-up data platform as CEO, gaining first-hand insight into business ownership.
Most recently, David was privileged to lead the Xero global sales team, working with teams in many countries focusing on a high-growth commercial mindset.
David has a teenage family that keeps him busy outdoors, with his son cycling in the mountains or roads of New Zealand or supporting his daughter in the dance studio.

John has over 25 years of executive, non-executive and chair experience across large, complex organisations in a variety of sectors, including professional services, property, manufacturing, infrastructure, local government, SaaS and not-for-profit.
He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, holds a Certificate of Public Practice with Chartered Accountants Australia, New Zealand, and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
John specialises in assisting businesses in clearly articulating their vision, strategy, and corresponding goals. His commercial capability to monitor performance against strategic, business, and financial plans helps ensure executive leadership teams manage their businesses appropriately.
He consults with businesses on strategic, cultural, and organisational change that creates smarter, better businesses. He often works with leaders who are surrounded by uncertainty, disruption, pending technology change, investment opportunities, restructuring, and succession issues.
John also works closely with numerous local community groups and has given time to facilitate strategic plans with The Graeme Dingle Foundation (Southern), Rugby Southland, Football South, Southland Sharks, Youth Line South, Southland Engineering Cluster, The Pantry and The Grace Street Project.

Dan Henderson is an experienced advisory and accountancy leader with more than 20 years’ experience supporting business owners to drive growth, build resilience, and create long‑term value.
As CEO and Managing Director of the +MORE Group, Dan leads with a deep commercial and technical understanding of the New Zealand SME sector. His leadership is underpinned by a strong commitment to +MORE’s vision of fuelling ambitious business owners through smarter, better business.
Dan is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and holds a Certificate of Public Practice. He is a long‑standing member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, reflecting his strong technical foundation and commitment to professional excellence.
His expertise spans business strategy, leadership, governance, mergers and acquisitions, sales and valuation work, and international company compliance and regulatory analysis. Throughout his career, Dan has played a pivotal role in guiding organisations through complex financial and commercial landscapes. His experience covers businesses of all sizes, from start‑ups through to multi‑national corporations, giving him a well‑rounded perspective across a wide range of industries.
Dan completed his studies in Commerce and Sciences at the University of Otago, before spending ten years with one of the Big Four accounting firms. In 2013, he transitioned into business ownership and went on to establish what is now known as the +MORE Group.
In addition to his executive role, Dan is actively involved in governance and leadership across the profession and wider community. He is the Chair of MGI Australasia, providing strategic leadership within the global MGI Worldwide network, and serves as a Board Member of Variety – the Children’s Charity, supporting improved outcomes for vulnerable Kiwi children.

Megan helps business owners bring clarity and confidence to planning and decision-making. With a strong commercial background and a passion for tech and AI, she supports internal processes, financial management, and growth through practical, future-focused strategies.
With prior experience in Financial Services in the UK and the import/distribution/retail sector in New Zealand, Megan has a broad range of expertise to support clients with internal processes and finance functions as if she were an in-house team member.
Outside of work, Megan is an outdoor enthusiast and mum of two.

Paul excels in cultivating successful partnerships with our internal staff and external clients, driving positive change and enabling the achievement of their goals.
With over 20 years of experience in public practice, Paul’s journey began by working alongside his father in a sole practitioner business while pursuing his university degree. After graduating with a major in operations management and accountancy, his father sold his practice to another prominent West Auckland accountancy firm, where Paul continued to grow professionally for 17 years, building many relationships and advancing his career.
Now at MGI+MORE, Paul thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, embracing progressive challenges.
Paul is a passionate football enthusiast outside work, although his active playing days have ended. Nowadays, he enjoys watching football and spending time with his young family. Paul also appreciates a good craft beer and tries to sample anything he hasn’t tried before!

Amy enjoys working closely with her clients to help them overcome their challenges as business owners.
Amy graduated from the University of Otago in Accounting and Economics in 2002 and since then has gained top-tier business advisory experience through her time in multi-national accounting firms like Deloitte and BDO and a practical blend of private sector experience. This combined experience gives advice and coaching that business owners can translate immediately to results. Amy now leverages this specialist knowledge to provide simple, actionable accounting and business planning advice to MGI+MORE’s key clients.
Amy has significant experience in providing ambitious business owners support to scale their ideas into reality. Her industry
knowledge spans retail & hospitality, technology, real estate services, engineering and manufacturing, professional services and tourism, construction and the trades.
At the weekends, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, following her two girls’ sporting activities, and playing club hockey herself.

What motivates Man Yu is seeing her clients professionally and personally flourish. Man Yu brings an extremely high calibre of professional performance and an empathetic understanding of business ownership to the clients at MGI+MORE.
After her time in the Big Four with EY in senior tax roles, Man Yu has mixed commercial experience with practice experience over the past two decades. A Graduate of the University of Waikato, Man Yu moved from Hamilton to Auckland in 2004. She has bedded down her roots ever since with a keen involvement in the South Auckland and Franklin Districts business communities.
Man Yu and her husband own a renowned hospitality business in Pukekohe and, therefore, understand the daily realities of combining career, business, and family.
Man Yu provides clients with considered business planning and tax advice, regularly assisting their growth strategies regarding expansion planning, systems integration, and critical performance monitoring. Her industry specialisation covers a wide range from hospitality and retail to import and distribution, tech start-ups, light manufacturing, food and packaging, and e-commerce.

As a Consultant of MGI+MORE, Jill focuses on accounting procedures, troubleshooting, systems applications, taxation compliance and innovation. Her broad portfolio spans sole traders to large businesses and subsidiaries of foreign corporations.
Beginning her career in the volatile business environment of 1987, Jill has gained valuable experience in New Zealand, Australia and Japan — an experience she brings to the table to help each of her clients succeed. Jill’s understanding of taxation and accounting practices at home and abroad in an increasingly international economy is extremely valuable to MGI+MORE clients.
Jill’s particular interest lies in insurance, property and construction, and she has deep experience in tax planning, New Zealand and Australia cross-border taxation issues, trusts, business structures and GST, and other indirect tax compliance.

After two decades of accounting, tax, and business advice as a Director at KPMG, Hansa Patel has brought her wealth of knowledge to her clients in a caring and supportive way since 2015 in her capacity as a Director of MGI+MORE.
This high level of technical expertise brings a big four experience in an accessible and personalised manner to our growing and ambitious SME clients. After completing her Accounting technical qualifications, her experience was expanded with the opportunity to work overseas and locally with several commercial secondments. This has meant that Hansa has developed a rounded appreciation of the commercial environment.
Hansa gives back through the Women’s Mentoring Programme at the Auckland University Business School.
Hansa has a passion for retail, import/distribution, healthcare services and manufacturing during the week, and on the weekends can be found exploring Auckland with her friends and family, enjoying the variety of restaurants and entertainment the city offers.

Michelle is a highly accomplished tax advisor with extensive experience providing strategic, commercially focused advice to businesses navigating complex tax landscapes. With a career spanning both professional services and in-house roles, Michelle has developed a reputation for combining deep technical expertise with practical, solutions-driven insight.
Throughout her career, Michelle has advised a diverse range of clients, from small and medium enterprises to major corporates and multinationals. She has led global mobility tax teams, established in-house advisory services for SME accountants, and been entrusted with complex tax compliance and advisory work by some of New Zealand’s most prominent organisations.
Michelle’s experience includes secondments with a leading New Zealand university, where she helped resolve significant GST and income tax irregularities following fraudulent activity, and with a major New Zealand bank, where she managed complex group tax compliance and reporting obligations. She has also contributed expert commentary to CCH / Wolters Kluwer, turning complex legislative and case law developments into clear, practical insights for the profession.
Michelle’s areas of expertise span SME tax advisory, international tax, global mobility, property and GST, and structuring and transaction advisory. She works closely with clients to design tax-effective structures, ensure robust compliance, and support business growth through every stage of the commercial lifecycle.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys an active lifestyle — skiing, mountain biking, and tramping her way through New Zealand’s Great Walks. She’s also a dedicated supporter of her children’s rowing and sailing pursuits, and finds balance through Pilates and reading.
